After our extreme adventures in Stavanger it was time to head home via Denmark! Full of medicine and wrapped up as snug as a bug it was off to the ferry in Kristiansand and over to Skagen, the most northerly point in Denmark. The trip took about three hours and then it was basically straight to bed.
Bright and early the next morning we were off to have a quick walk along the beach to the very tip of Denmark where the north and baltic seas meet but don't actually combine! The seas are actually different colours and the waves crash into each other at the point. There are also World War II bunkers and a picturesque lighthouse
The beach was picturesque, complete with a lighthouse and World War II bunkers. Beautiful stones were scattered over a sandy beach with grassy dunes lining the way, and although I was still a bit feverish it was a lovely way to finish off our summer road trip!
